Net Zero Fundamentals and GHG Peer Network
Building Utility Capacity for Climate Action
At the US Water Alliance, I lead the first national GHG Reduction Peer Cohort for water utilities and wrote a series of Net Zero Fundamentals briefing papers that distilled learnings from the network. The programs brought together utility leaders across the United States to build skills, share approaches, and strengthen capacity for climate action, while also connecting with global peers to exchange strategies and insights.
Through briefing papers, interactive workshops, and peer exchanges, the initiative delivered practical tools for integrating greenhouse gas reduction strategies into planning, operations, investments, and partnerships. It also created a trusted space for collaboration among utilities, public agencies, and nonprofit partners.
This work helped position climate action as a shared sector priority, demonstrating that peer learning and collective problem-solving can accelerate progress more effectively than isolated efforts.
